 Interested in Joining the MRMC Auxiliary/Volunteers? The MRMC Auxiliary/Volunteers provide personal attention, care, warmth, and services with a smile to add to the well being of patients and families. Volunteers are available for any non-medical need you may have. You must be at least 18 years or older to be a member. Volunteers are only required to work a minimum of eight hours a month. However, you may volunteer more is you so desire. You can reach the Auxiliary by call Eva Newsome, Director of Volunteers, at 597-5408 or evanewsome@mrmc.org. Some of our Responsibilities: Tree of Love We host the Tree of Love where people donate to the cause either in memory or in honor of someone. All proceeds from the event will benefit MRMC throughout the year. This event takes place in December and the kids come to have their picture taken with Santa. Tree of Love Form Gift Shop The Volunteer Auxiliary of McDuffie Regional Medical Center operates a fully stocked gift shop for the visitors convenience, offering greeting cards, candy, and gifts. All proceeds of the Gift Shop go to the Hospital Auxiliary to purchase needed equipment for various areas of the Hospital. Patient Representative You can sign up to be a patient representative and greet the patients and accompany them in their stay. Chaplaincy Service Spiritual support from a Hospital Chaplain is always available during your stay. Quiet Rooms are located next to the Intensive Care Unit, Medical / Surgical Unit and the Emergency Department which are open at all times for meditation. Mail and Flower Delivery We deliver mail and flowers to the patients during their stay. |
